About me

I’m Don Goss — a Freemason, IT professional, writer, and someone who believes deeply in the value of heritage and community. My life has always been shaped by curiosity: curiosity about how things work, where we come from, and how traditions carry meaning across generations.

Freemasonry has been one of the most meaningful parts of my journey. Through the Blue Lodge, York Rite, and Scottish Rite, I’ve found mentors, friends, and opportunities to serve. I enjoy exploring the symbolism, history, and lessons of the Craft, and I share that passion through the articles and educational pieces I write.

Technology is the other side of my world. I’ve spent years helping organizations run more smoothly by building systems that make sense — systems that support people, not the other way around.

I also love preserving stories. Whether I’m researching family history or collecting recipes for a Southern‑style family cookbook, I’m always looking for ways to honor the past while creating something meaningful for the future.

This website is where all of that comes together: my Masonic work, my writing, my projects, and the things that continue to shape who I am.

To understand the Chapter, we have to go back to the earliest days of Speculative Freemasonry. Early Masonry and the “Unfinished Story” In the …
